PET is a highly inert material that resists attack by microorganisms and does not react with most substances, making it suitable for various areas of application, including packaging, textiles, and other industrial uses. The annual global demand for PET exceeds 20 million tons.

Plastics have many benefits. They are strong, hermetic, bendable, and, last but not least, durable. This material is used almost everywhere and for everything. However, advantages quickly turn into disadvantages when it comes to completing its lifecycle.
Every year, the amount of waste in landfills is growing globally. At the same time, polymer and plastic products elicit the most fears which are 10-15% of all garbage in landfills.
It takes so long for plastic to decompose that in natural conditions, it can drag on for hundreds of years. At the same time, the amount of plastic waste is not decreasing, but only increasing the heaps of rubbish, threatening the environment with a big catastrophe. For that reason, the issue of recycling is so relevant today and more and more companies are focusing on the production of their products from recycled materials. And more new countries around the world are requiring packaging industries to use recycled plastic.
Most frequently recycled plastic is buried at special waste storage sites, and even worse, it is incinerated. It is not economically feasible to bury plastic waste, since the reuse of raw materials allows you to start an endless cycle of plastic products production. And when the product is to be recycled and reused, it makes sense to include the possibility of reusing PET raw materials.
To create a plastic product consumes considerable quantities of natural resources. But since plastic can be reused, this significantly reduces the need of oil production and related raw material resources. Plastic waste, the processing of which is done on modern equipment, is completely safe for the environment.
